Software Developer C# / .NET (m/f/d)

ballmüller solutions is a small software company in Berlin. We build custom software for businesses and public-sector clients – web platforms, integrations and cloud services on Microsoft Azure – alongside our own products. Recent examples include a web platform on which municipalities manage their sewer network, its condition and planned works in one place, a CRM for an insurance broker, and an extension that connects Azure DevOps with a planning tool.

As a Software Developer C# / .NET you take responsibility for whole features: you work out with the client what is needed, design the solution, build it and see it into production. We work in small, self-organised teams without long chains of approval – and with code reviews, automated tests and shared building blocks that every project is based on.

• You develop web applications, APIs and background services with C#, ASP.NET Core and Blazor.
• You build distributed systems on Azure – with Container Apps, Orleans, .NET Aspire and infrastructure as code.
• You integrate other systems: ERP, CRM, Microsoft 365, payment providers or our clients' specialist software.
• You implement AI features with Azure OpenAI, such as searching company knowledge, assistants or reading documents.
• You clarify requirements directly with the client, estimate effort realistically and deliver in small, reviewable steps.
• You ensure quality with automated tests, code reviews and CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
• You develop our shared NuGet packages further – from sign-in to analytics – so that every project benefits.

• Very good knowledge of C# and .NET (we work with .NET 10) and ASP.NET Core
• Experience with a web framework, ideally Blazor
• Relational databases and SQL, ideally SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Git, automated testing (for example with xUnit) and CI/CD
• Experience with Azure or another cloud and with containers
• A plus: Orleans, .NET Aspire, Bicep, Azure OpenAI or event sourcing

• Several years of experience in software development with C# and .NET
• A degree, vocational training (for example in application development) or a comparable route into development
• You enjoy clean, readable code – and discussing it with others
• You like working with clients: you explain technology clearly and ask until the problem is understood
• Independence: you own a feature from the idea to production
• Very good German (our clients speak German) and good English

Salary: €55,000 – €70,000 gross per year for full time, depending on experience; part time pro rata.
